I'm heading off 14/15/16th of this month. As an added bonus the GP circuit is open to the public on the 15th! 30 euros per 20 min session.

Take a snowplough just in case, or a propeller!

Nordschleife on the 13th, BaT Spa day on the 14th, Nurburgring GP on the 15th - thats my plan. If the weather is fine, which it has been 3 out of 4 previous trips in November, it will be awesome

Yeah, agree with you. Had a few trips that time of year and it's been fine. March to May seems to be the worst time for snow.

I'm booked up for the sunday at Spa, this will be my second trackday, the first was with Dreadnought at Knockhill. I've booked instruction as well, mow just hope the weather forecast gets better!

Don't worry about that - Spa in the wet is mega! Some footage from our last day there, in pouring rain:

Nice footage!
I've recently had my MG upped from 260bhp to 400bhp and still learning the car's new responses, a wet track and skinny tyres could be a lot of fun...smile

If im aiming to go on the weekend of the 5th & 6th of December, what do i need to do. Do i just turn up and pay to use the track?
Do i need to register and let them know i am coming?
And how does it work, is it open pit style?

Firstly are you aware it only appears to be open for TF on the Nordschleife on the Sunday? Though the GP circuit is open on the Saturday.

Referring to the NS (not the GP circuit), you just turn up and pay. It is not a track day, its a toll road - you pay for every lap and do one lap at a time - you have to leave the track every lap. There's nothing to stop you going straight out again but you do have to leave and join again. You can buy multi lap tickets which are cheaper than single tickets.

Finally the weather will be highly unpredictable so be prepared for a total wash out.

Helmet not mandatory, but a good idea, given the likely state of the road surface in dec and the close proximity of the armco.

As Tertius said, it's only a one way toll road, so remember that German road law applies, and overtake on the LEFT only. Keep well to the right until you've got an idea of where you're going!

If you decide to go, let us know how you got on!

As said, they are not mandatory, but you would be a fool to go without one, imo.
