I must be a good driver
Discussion
I am seriously thinking of getting a message bar to go in back window. Have seen one that is a mmessage unit, which you can customise to scroll up to 16 messages (about 470 characters) with a remote so you can switch messages at will. Runs of batteries too. Not sure if it would be legal to use, though? But hours of fun with the messages. eg Get of my arse you tail-gating muppet
Switch OFF your f f f fog lights.
etc.

Didn't JC look at one on Top Gear? IIRC you couldn't use swearwords: they were barred somehow. However I'm sure Maplin or Rapid would have something similar. Re legality, I suppose it would have to be reasonably inoffensive* and use red lights.
* though the offending message would be gone, so no evidence!!

So something like
I say, old chap, would you mind awfully staying a little further back?
Sorry to disturb your driving, but your fog lights are on
I must say that your nail polish does look rather fetching on that middle digit you have just shown me
Thanks for waving, but I don't drink coffee
Would be acceptable then?

I won one of the aforementioned in FHM about a year ago, I used to have it in my Audi doesn't seem suitable in the cerb as hopefully i'll be going too fast for anyone to read it...no swear words, you can't even write police so sarcasm was always my fave it couldn't outwit sarcasm and I found that wound people up even more, my personal hate it when you go to overtake and they speed up, I call them gap closers and they make my blood boil, how more dangerous can you get than forcing a car to stay on the wrong side of the road?

I hate people like that. They are the biggest w*nkers on the road. I'm sure their driving emotion is pure outright jealousy.
Precisely.
Why acknowledge a fabulous car with wonderful aural accompaniment and the rapture that's involved when a pitiful act of tiny willied, drooling vegetablism can be performed instead?
Never mind, lots more where that came from.
Birthday, Mungo? Best wishes and enjoy the feast.
Cheapest message unit I have found so far for £59.95 is:
Easy-to-program moving message with clearly readable red LED characters for messages up to 60 characters max. Features 26 pre-programmed messages, clock function and can be powered by 4 x 1.5V C batteries or via the supplied mains adaptor. Wall or stand mount.
