Logitech USB wheel for PS2 - for Xbox?

Does anyone know if my old Logitech wheel that saw plenty of action on GT4 on PS2 will also work on Xbox 360? I assumed not, but then I remembered that it was USB connected...
(I'd try it now, but the wheel and Xbox are currently in different countries.)

Nevermind, done a bit more Googling and found that no, it doesn't. Which is a shame, as it's a great wheel.
That solved, does anyone have particular wheel recommendations for FM3?

The Microsoft one is rated well for us 'normal' people, although for the best experience, you'll get folks telling you to spend more than the console cost itself!

Go for the Fanatec one, it is the first proper cross platform wheel and can be used across PS3, Xbox and PC. If you already have a G25 or existing fanatec porsche wheel, you can use the pedals for those with the new wheel or just get the fanatec clubsport pedals as well.

it does seem that fanatec have run out of the wheel currently.... next shipment in December

Fanatec wheels sell for between £170 and £500!!!

I can't justify spending the kind of money FancyTec want, so guess it's the Microshaft one for me. Never used one - is it any good?

I got an xbox wheel set up on a game racer seat...its superb and, although i am going for a fantech one so my kids can have my xbox one, i'd be quite happy with it long term.

Should add....never played a racing game before forza 3 last week so i've never driven a car with a thumb pad so have no comparison...but the wheel seems fine to me and easy to hold stable lines - i set a fastest time on a live game last night racing round ovals - i'm sure the wheel helps for stuff like that. (imo)

Good to hear, thanks. As mentioned, I used the wheel a lot for GT4 a couple of years back, and find it rather hard to use the thumb stick to steer on Forza, good as the Xbox pads are. At the moment my driving is mostly stabs of left and right rather than the smooth inputs that one would use in a real car with a wheel.

My Logitech Driving Force Pro is languishing in a spare room, connected to my old PS" with an old copy of GT4 in it.

For the Xbox, I found a Kontrol Freek Add-on to be a good compromise, they are cheap, and make a big difference, especially on oval courses.

I know there are millions of drivings far far faster than me on pads.....but i dont know how they do it! All the pad functions, whether its steering, brakes or gas feel so "on or off" as opposed to the wheel where you have traditional degrees of input. More so if you run a fantec set up (mine is coming with santa!) where you have a proper clutch...not just an off/on button clutch as per the pad. I suppose you just get used to whatever you use most?
