My brother moved out to Australia about a month ago, he has an Australian passport as my father was born in Darwin. However i'd also like to get my passport but my father's has run out and he's not sure that Australia will grant him a new one as he's not been back and his ran out ages ago.
My question is, how difficult would it be to get my citizenship if i decided to move over there bearing in mind my fathers birth place and my brother already lives out there.
I would just get my father to sort his out but, he's got alot on and naturally forgets all about it as soon as i've mentioned it.

Wasn't an issue at all. I was worried too as I'm off to Aus to get married at Xmas, so needed an Aussie Passport to make things easier. If you've had one before, you'll get another.
Go to their UK website, enter your details and they will mail you the forms.
Get a pair of head pics (diff size to the UK ones).
Get the forms filled in and the forms and pics signed by a 3rd party.
Call and get an apointment, I got an appointment for about a week later.
15 min "interview" where they check your forms. Just off The Strand, not too hard to find.
Week later got a confirmation e-mail.
Week later got the passport delivered (signed for).

I doubt it. Even in the UK you can't, but it does allow the grandchild to be eligible for an Ancestry Visa, which gives them the right to stay and work here. I don't think Australia does the same.You need to pass this.
