Traffic Control Cameras

On the Traffic Scotland website you can see the view from a se;ection of cameras throughout Scotland.

However, on the traffic reports on the radio they seem to have access to many more cameras - are these accessible to Joe Public or are they purely for a traffic control room somewhere? Do all these different radio stations have a presenter sitting in their control room or are they accessible through the web?

Just curious.... honest!

Some stations (well Clyde 1 at least) base their reports on listeners calling in to alert them of traffic too. I'd say that plus the publicly accessible camera feeds would give a decent overall coverage of the roads.

Traffic Link, an independent company who provide travel updates to various radio stations have someone based in the Traffic Scotland offices, viewing cameras.
