After umming and aahing (?) for ages about which watch to buy I couldn't decide between my two favourites so have decided in a moment of weakness to buy them both. However, because it's taken me so long to decide, I really don't have much time left before I head off to Australia to live.

So I'm looking to get hold of the following models pretty quickly but don't want to buy them off one of the discounted internet sites if at all possible becuase of the stories of unreliable lead times.

Omega Seamaster 300m GMT, Steel case/black face, steel bracelet- model no. 2234.50.00

Omega De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph, steel case/silver dial/brown leather strap - model no. 4841.31.32

Anyone happen to know anywhere that has them in stock as I would need to pick them up in the next week before I head off to OZ (where they're much more expensive)?

Thanks for your help

Try contacting Dom H on here, or Blowers Jewellers. I think Dom can source new watches but Blowers deal in pre owned stuff (although the Omega and the Panerai I recently got from blowers were both still boxed/labelled/stickered and unworn).

Tour the High St - even in a small town there are likely to be a couple of Omega dealers.

You should get a cracking deal for buying two.

Thanks for the replies, I've emailed Dom H. I really want a new one so will give Blowers a miss for the moment.

I've been phoning all the AD's along the south coast this morning but none of them have either model in, just about to start on London as I'm there on Friday morning.

Fingers crossed!

Are either of them current models? I found most AD's useless for anything other than current stock.

I had a good place suggested when I was hunting out an old Omega

Try calling Bedfords Jewellers in Ruislip, Middx on 01895 632 100 and ask to speak with Rob or his brother.
Might be worth a try?

The seamaster is about to be discontinued, a couple of AD's were willing to help but couldn't guarantee a delivery direct from Omega UK quicker than 7-10 working days and wanted payment up front but the number you gave me at Bedfords appears to have come up trumps. Payment on collection, watches in on Monday and a cracking discount to boot - if I had any cash left after that I'd buy you a pint so have one of these instead beer

Both watches arrived today, cutting it fine but they got here so a big thanks to Kim at Bedfords.

The De Ville really does look smart, will post some pics when I've had them sized and we're settled in Sydney. biggrin
