Rocker covers:- What colour?

Dangerous question.. however opinions warmly accepted.

I have a Starmist Green (dark green) Griff .. what colour would look good on the rocker covers.

I am thinking along the lines of a green (as close as possible to the body)



or gold (not a shiny bling gold but a dull gold)



Suggestions??

Black is coolest - pun seriously intended.

Cooler equals more power, minute but you might as well take every little help you can IMHO..

I was gonna say Black but thought i may appear boring black with the raised fins bare would look nice unless you have the proper TVR rocker covers pin in a haystack bet Spend as on that 4.3

I've actually got 3 sets of proper TVR ones in the garage

All ground out for roller rocker clearance, and the edges ground down for a perfect fit of rubber gaskets.. Just need some holes welding up (plug lead clips ) then stripping and heat dispersal coating applying

Its got to be Purple ... thats TVR's racing colours. There should be a law against any other colour .... I will write to my MP !

Remove the 'slotted top' and polish to a mirror finish.
A little autosol every now and then but its worth it.

Still like the TVR purple...although I have seen the rocker covers chemically blackened and the raised TVR and fins polished...very tasteful!

quite like that purple and would like to know ral colour or shade.


Which bit did any one grind out for roller rockers ???, any one go some old ones to part with ? mine have TVR in the middle of the rocker cover.

Matt black crackle finish with the raised portion of the covers polished.

Those look really nice. I've thought about going black with the top polished but hadn't considered have the majority polished with just a small amount of black. Are the TVR badges the standard ones? I've thought about getting a couple of second hand bonnet badges and grinding them to the same level as the fins but not sure if that would work???

What is the best way to get them stripped down ready for polishing? Is it best to get them done professionally?
