Has anybody here used VistaPrint for calendars, cards, photo books etc? If so, how is the quality? Their price seems to be pretty good but I was concerned about the quality. Thanks in advance!

i've used them for several different cards
very high quality print - very happy with the results

the only downside is that they deluge you in marketing email once they know you.

You are entitled to unsubscribe? If there is no "unsubscribe" link in their email then reply back (or email via website). Data protection act states they must remove you if you request wink

I got my business cards from them and they seemed pretty good for freebies. Never had any trouble with junk mail. Dont think they've even contacted me since!

search on here and google for vistaprint scam, the sneaky fkers take 10 quid a month from your card until you notice it and then demand it back, which they do as they know its wrong. Its been covered on PH and google, I'd say avoid like having unprotected sex with a nigerian thats cured of aids by sleeping with a 2 year old virgin

I should probably get around to business cards.
I have the artwork (colour), I'd want glossy, but it's essentially white with an image and text.
Nothing on the back.
Perhaps 500 off.

Can anyone recommend? Preferably a small business. Internet not essential.

Vistaprint are fine, good quality and a good price. The "scam" comes up at the end of your order (or did, I'm not sure if it does anymore?), and you just need to read the wording and understand whether you need to tick or not to opt out of the scheme.

I send their emails to junk until I'm looking for something and then I unjunk them and look at the offers as sometimes they are pretty good.

I use Goodprint. They have a range of "editable" templates or you can upload your own designs. After your first order, you get regular "money off" offers. My last order for 500; which included a special finish, cost £39.55. Excellent quality and dispatched within 24 hrs.

once bitten twice shy, I certainly didnt need to read any wording, it was just click and bham you had signed up even without clicking to do so. If I had done it legitimately, they would not have offered me my money instantly back as a gesture of good will. They knew what they were doing was a scam, there was so many others effected it would suggest it wasnt down to blindly clicking boxes. It simply was a case of confirm order and there you were.

The cards I got were very well made I have to say and very well priced but never again will those conning bds get money. There mere fact the scam may no longer be in action is irrelevant, they willingly provided my full card details to a separate company and the only way (as it wasnt a DD) to stop them was to cancle my card.

Buyer beware

I used Vistaprint 2 months ago and they provided fantastic service: ordered on the UK site on Monday, arrived in Tokyo on Thursday. No sign of a scam either...

Most people over here comment on how good the quality of the cards is - compared with the flimsy local rubbish.

glen there was no sign of the scam that stung thousands of people. It took 3 months before all of a sudden 10 quid was being taken from the card, it was only spotted after checking my back statements for something else. It wasnt instant, they knew they were in the wrong as soon as I phoned them up they were tripping over themselves to pay the money back

Only ever used them for business cards, ordered around 6 times in around 2000-3000 at a time from them and never been "scammed"...

Yes. What I really want is matt with glossy bits, but I think that's going to be expensive!
Thanks for the pointers.
