I am looking to buy for under £12k. Was wondering if anyone would be willing to sell or if there are any known Cerberas i should definately look at currently for sale in the classifieds . Any help would be most appreciated.

Does anyone know how much a headlight conversion costs and where i can get it done.

I have looked at a few but all the interiors seem to be very worn. Does anyone know of anyone who can re trim in the south.

The best place to buy a Cerb is from Pistonheads as they are usually owned by an entuhsiast. Buy the best you can afford even if it means not getting the actual colour you really wanted, make the colour and trim choice of secondary importance to you. Buy with your eyes wide open, make sure you have a deep wallet, and do a lot of research.

Headlight is going to cost circa 1500. Better off spending that money on a) a more expensive car b) save for a rainy day or c) on more important changes eg suspension or mapping.

I'd agree with that, leave the headlamps (you might want to make them work though). Each varient looks good.

Looks good value - what is the service history (it is 'reflected in price'), is the chasssis fine? oh and how can you remove those after burners !

I am selling mine due to living abroad but all I can say its worth spending more and then having a car you can use without it being in the garage getting fixed and costing a fortune. Mine was expensive but did not spend a penny on it in a year and a half that I needed to. I chose to do some upgrades just to keep it in perfect nick. I looked for six months befor I bought her and had not planned to spend so much either but glad I did after reading some of the nightmares on here people have. Mine is a lot but it is perfect and everything works and if its not new its been fixed. last owner spend over 12k in two years and I have spent a further 3k on upgrades. if you do buy cheap make sure you have it really well checked out first is all I would and I am sure many others will tell you. Good luck you cant beat them and i am very sorry to have to get rid of her.

Have to say posts like this scare me. Nothing wrong with buying a cheap Cerb as long as you are prepared to poor money into it and treat it like you are the owner from new. A stone-chipped, worn seat, high milage example thats been looked after mechanically is better than highly polished low milage one if not treated right.

If you buy, buy as much as you can afford, with £3k contingency year 1 and be prepared for circa £2k a year after that. Maybe higher or lower.

Go to a TVR meet, talk to the owners and drive one if you can. Cars need love and respect

She is amazing smile (her names Tam, Tam the TVR.. so my other half says anyway!) Over the 18 months ive owned her running costs have been very low - nothing really going wrong worth noting. She has the usual few scratches you get on any used car, and I really really really don't want to let her go frown but I fear I have to sooner or later.

Pics of interior (not as good quality):

Hi guys, the starmist green Cerb for 12,250 has now been sold - deposit paid and picking up at weekend, the car is mint as describes in fact could have sold it 10 times. There are some great cars out there for this money but also some bad ones, look for ones that have service history as mine £6k in 18 months, not all spent on keeping the thing running but you tend to fall in love with these beasts so you give them what they deserve. These really are special cars and worth every penny and you only spend what you would lose on deprecation with any other car. LIVE THE DREAM

Cheers to everyone for all the help in the past - I will be back
