As im still looking at the move to 20's which I want to combine with doing the suspension at the same time but have been told numerous times they wont fit can someone explain the below:

Decided to have a fiddle with one of these online tyre calculators,

Stock tyre 245/35/19

Sidewall: 3.4 in
Radius: 12.9 in
Diameter: 25.8 in
Circumference: 81.1 in
Revs/mile: 781.3

New tyre 245/30/20

Sidewall: 2.9 in
Radius: 12.9 in
Diameter: 25.8 in
Circumference: 81.1 in
Revs/mile: 781.3

As you can see identical, the thinner tyre should in theory give exactly the same size circumference and same overall size hence should fit straight on without problems, or am I missing something????

Sounds good to me, now just need to find some wheels, the hard part

What wheel size will fit those tyres, 20 x 8's or 8.5's?

What make wheels you go for? Also source them in the U.K or have to go abroad for them?

Am I right in assuming that standard 19" Monaro wheels are the same offset as VXR8 fronts (ET48)?

Went for VXR8 style from Aus, better quality out there in the market I guess but just happen to like them!
