Paint for mars red mk1 golf
Discussion
Hi,
Can anyone offer any advice/tips on getting some painting done on my mk1 golf GTi. I'm geting some deep scratches sorted and I've been told this involves spraying most of the o/s rear quater. The car is 27 years old and was resprayed in the original mars red colour around 12years ago. The paint-job is very good and looks great when polished, but it does fade quite quickly. So I'm a bit worried about the new paint having different properties, perhaps being better at not fading; then I'd have a choice between polishing the car every weekend or having mismatching paint all the time.
Any ideas on what to ask for in terms of paint/tools/methods or what kind of place to get the work done at? I'm in Peterborough btw.
