Went there las night - the show was fairly predictable. There was a stunning CF Zonda F roadster, a white Veyron, with the reg F1, which I tink will be auctioned, a beautiful 275 GTB, a few lambos - some of which were modified and not my cup of tee - plus of course the Uracco, Diablo roadster and the LP5000S Countach on the Lambo Club Uk stand. The Mansory stand was a bit scary, with the Pink Bentley GT Speed - but the CF Aston looked pretty mean to me - although it was next to a hideous CF Cayenne - which kept me awake last night!

I was there on Wednesday night and a lot of nice cars. Few of the hypercar highlights:
Zonda Cinque + R (think they will be unveiled on Saturday by Horacio Pagani)
Koenigsegg CCR
Caparo T1
F50
F40
Lots of the usual suspects, 599s etc.
I'll be helping on the Lambo Club UK stand tomorrow (Saturday) if anyone wants to say hello.

I attended yesterday and saw the last show there (5pm). The show was OK, certainly not bored but the TV show is much better.
I have been looking for a Gallardo for some time (and looking ot buy early next year) - my preference being a black car with manual transmission. As it happened, Amari had a 9K miles car 2004 which was for sale at £68K. I spoke to Richard and "Mr. Amari" for some time and had a good look around the car which looked pretty much new except for the odd very minor swirl in the paint. I did mention that I thought the car was very expensive, but they assured me that they only sellt he best and every car needs nothing spending on it etc. I am not sure that the Amari car is worth £12K more than the others in this price range - the spec does not include the glass engine cover. Did anyone else see it? Personally I also found the Amari guys somewhat patronising. They have that air about them that they deal mainly with Premiership football players, a bit "wide" and are looking around all over the place when talking to you - which kind of gives the impression they are not listening or interested. I have heard only good things abotu them though in terms of the cars they sell, but would love to hear your views on what they are like to deal with. Richard for example said they can "just tell" by driving a G for 10 seconds whether it is a good one or not.....etc etc.
They did not open the car or let me sit in it even - but I guess its a show so perhaps that would have opened the floodgates..^^
Other than that, I really enjoyed looking at PS Autoart's retro creations based on 964's and 3.2's. I sat in a black Retro Touring which was nice, but I do worry about spending £70K plus on one of these as I have no idea of depcreciation or size of market except that it may be very small? IIRC they have done about 20 of these, ranging from £65 to 125k....! I used to have a 964 and loved it, and somehow these do appeal to me a lot but I am not sure whether they are considered an "abomination" in general by the Porsche market? Would that matter? Would you spend on that sort of money on one?
I had a good time overall, but I just didn't "feel" the Amari guys.....if you know what I mean. Considering they have sold 25-30 Gallardo's since spring I may have to deal with them at some point anyway....!
