I find that statistic difficult to believe, unless it's changed radically in the 5 or so years since I looked at any of that stuff. I'd hazard a guess that 'most' incidences of parents lashing out at their children are mothers at the end of their tether.

I almost cry when I see half-baked publicity campaigns such as this. Before this thread degenerates into NSPCC-bashing, the charity does some sterling work: I've seen it in action in their children's centres. However they never publicise it, citing the reason of Client confidentiality.

I can understand the need for confidentiality to a certain point, however I think the organisation is overly assumptive about its continued support from the public. Don't tell me you're worthy of my money, show me. It's the oldest adage in the fundraising game.

The squander the money rather than spend it on doing good.

Ain't that a fact, still soon we’ll not be allowed to do anything, so we’ll all be injecting and slurping larger whilst watching the inane drivel on TV rather than working our butts off.

It's a shame all the money that is being invested in all the intel and surveillance seems to produce bugger all.
