Both would need tweaking for me to say yep, thats cool

Pug, paint all the black bits body coloured, different back box.

Clio, delete stupid front splitter, delete spoiler, put some dished 15" wheels on it.

There is a Clio like that near me.
I wanted one 15 years ago and still do.

I'd still prefer the 106 Dimma though.

Dimma 205's are pretty cool machines as long as they have not been further "Enhanced" in the look department.

I can remember seeing a couple together in about 1989 ,must have been on holiday in Torbay - a blue and a red one.Not sure if they had the TT convo as well. I did see one of those once - reg no DJI9205, didnt have the Dimma kit though and was pretty much a sleeper.

Good stuff.thumbup

i was unfortunate enough to have driven a very poor 205 with full dimma kit and it was one of the rattleyest sheetboxes i'v ever driven.

if you went above 60 the car started shaking itself to pieces.

there was a dimma clio with escort cosworth engine circa 350 bhp and running gear in the trader about 8 years ago. i think it was up for about 7.5k. anyone here know anything about it?

IIRC there were a lot of wide body Dimma imitations doing the rounds back in the day. The Dimma one itself was usually done to a pretty high standard - metal cut away, etc etc. The copies were not as well designed or constructed.

Scrolling down, saw the first pic, thought "nah, just a body kit". Then saw the running gear and the negative thoughts immediately turned into "WANT, NEED, NOW".

There was one round by me when I was about 12 in purple with three piece 1.9 style alloys and DIMMA in gold writing on the spoiler. I wanted one so bad back then! The 306 Dimma was a sight, only saw one once, it was ridiculously wide.

Rapid 205gti turbo with the dimma kit would be cool as long as you got some cash left over for a colour changing respray! No to the yellow through....

Built by a member on here if I am not mistaken!

Seem to remember he popped up on the "Best Garage" thread. Think he has sold it now though

It suits the Peugeot examples (106 and 205s shown in the pics above) better than the clio I think. They look almost like homologation specials...

I've just seen a red 205 Dimma drive past in Birmingham, looking a little faded maybe.
