So, what IS 'fashion'.

Today I had a quick look in a mens clothes store, trying to find some jeans with a low waist band. Nope, I'm not after some 'hip huggers' to show off the back of my thong, just I'm a funny fat shape and the crutch hangs around my knees when normal jeans sit at my waist line.
Anyway, first pair of jeans I pick up look like worn out scruffs of some cheap floppy denim, but a price tag of £120
I pointed out to my wife that my own jeans cost me $7 in Walmart, and look far better than the mega priced designer jeans.
Thus ensued a long discussion about the £120 jeans being 'fashionable' and how I had no taste in 'fashion', and prefer to wear scruffy old jeans and T shirts.
I pointed out the pre-worn, pre-torn designer 'fashion' jeans my wife recently spunked £50 on, pointed out that they are fashionable ONLY because some mega rich fashion designers had decided thus. And that said designer changed the 'fashion' every year so they could sell new junk and increase their vast fortunes.
I pointed out that sheeples follow these fashion gurus because they are brainwashed by the media that they need to do so to remain acceptable to their friends and peers, that it is ALL about the money, and it all went rapidly downhill from there......
So, what is fashion?

However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and so it's sort of comical how you think that you've made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you're wearing the sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room. From a pile of stuff.

A girl and a guy I used to work with once told me that the had both spent £300+ on a pair of jeans! They tried to make out it was a wise purchase as I just laughed in their faces. £300 for a pair of jeans?! I'd expect them to be self cleaning, ever lasting super jeans that wked me off as I walked for £300!
