Tag Heuer Aquaracer
Discussion
Hi,
I've been looking to buy my wife a new watch and have been thinking about getting her a Tag Heuer Aquaracer like the one below. I really like the current trend for over sized sports watches on women and this has the added bonus of a bit of girlie bling thrown in!
As we're soon heading off to live in Sydney it will need to be easily available, waterproof, has to have a steel case/bracelet and silver/white face - are there any others I'm missing out on? Budget around a grand.
Thanks.

I think, but am not sure, that you'd have to send it back to the UK but the warranty might be world wide. For example, I bought some Nikon lenses over in the US and had a slight problem with one. It was fixed here with no quibble despite the warranty being officially valid only in the USA. As a comment, how can the same lens be over £2,000 dearer in the UK than the USA? Bloody daft I call it. Probably like your watch.
Matt,
If you buy a UK Tag Aquaracer (as shown) you'll buy with an International warranty, so any issues will be dealt with courtesy of Tag Aus.
If you're making a permanent export, don't forget to re-claim your vat. Do this, and get a decent discount at the point of sale and you're laughing. I've checked with my Tag AD's, and delivery is 4 weeks...
Need any help, give me a call.

I've got the gents aquaracer with black face.

Pretty durable though I have been mildly sensible not to were it inappropriately i.e. when working on cars etc.
Quite long turn around for repairs with tag though if you have an issue with it.I thought I had date display fault - turned out I didnt have hands in correct postition to adjust same (as I am told is desireable to prevent issues)
Always negotiate window prices of find someone who will.

I also have a black face Aquaracer CAF1110, nice watch but mine is the cheaper quartz movement requiring a battery change every 18 months or so. I've always taken mine to H.Samuel and had great service/aftersales.

Same as you I can't get it quicker than 4 weeks and head off to Aus in 10 days, you don't know of a secondhand one anywhere?
Would also consider the Link model.

I had that watch and in the end I sold it as when I was wearing it it was so heavy it slid down my wrist and the crown used to stick in the back of my hand. Its a very nice watch though!I've been looking to buy my wife a new watch and have been thinking about getting her a Tag Heuer Aquaracer like the one below.
