I have some ideas of a cutting edge magazine, and really need some pointers on costs involved in say a thirty page monthly mag in colour.

I have the basis all planned out and subjects etc along with advertisers interested.

I am ok with getting the written articles done along with photos and general layout, but it is from this point to final copy and marketing that I have absolutly no idea on how to go about things.

Any help or advice would be gratefully received, although I can't be specific on the subjects I am thinking of writing about, but it is specific reader base and medically connected, and as far as I am aware it will be the first in its domain.

What's your print run going to be?

Have you identified your target market - i:e mailing list?

30 pages of editorial or 30 pages of editorial/advertising combined?

Probably small batch of 5000 to start and increase as time goes on, yes would include advertisements within the 30 pages.

Where are you hoping to sell this? In a newsagents? (unlikely) by subscription? (possibly) or by other means?

Getting into a newsganets would be impossible with a 5000 print run I would think ... well, I say that, what I mean is, getting into WH Smiths ...

Can you give us more info? Is it going to be sold or given away? Online version possible with ssubscription?

If you still need info on costs, printing, distribution, design and sub editing etc etc drop me a line.

Good luck with the venture.
