Should you have to wear a poppy?

I've been listening to talksport this afternoon and the ginger whinger was saying that everyone should be forced to wear a poppy to show their respect for the fallen and injured.

Now whilst I have the utmost respect for those above and donate every year I don't wear a poppy, simply because I lose them all the time.

Being forced to wear one pretty much goes against the grain of what the fallen stood for.

Forcing someone to wear a poppy to show respect, is against the freedoms these people died for.
It won't make people have respect either, if anything, it'll become something they hate.

I don't agree with forcing, but I think everyone should.

It's a tiny inconvenience compared to what our forces give/ have given.

not at all. i do find it intensely irritating that the people who tell us we should do this are the ones who'll only ever give a passing thought to the fallen on one day of the year, and they have donated a pound so it shows they care. have any of these people marched on rememberance sunday, laid a wreath, visited ex-servicemen - actually spoken to one? have they fk.

Guess what? People give money to who they want to, we all know you are in the forces so will be for everyone having to buy and wear them, but people can do what THEY want.

why not wear one, whilst it is a choice thing it shows pride somthing we brits donnt do so much, look at our American friends how many houses fly the American flag, like i said its a choice thing

stick a bigger pin and see if you still lose them
