Back in June I bought SWMBO a 2006 Mazda 5 Furano.

At that time the dealer wanted £350 to fit a fixed tow bar with single electrics.

After a bit of shopping around I fount that Towsure would fit one for £199.

Now, the car has just failed its MOT as the tow bar obscures the rear fog lampirked

In order to get a pass I have unbolted the neck of the bar from the cross beam and this cures the problem.

As the rear fog lamp is integrated into the rear bumper I need to either move it to one side or take the wires out of it and run them to a new for lamp which I will fit to the right of the tow bar.

The next problem I have come across is that the rear fog lamp appears to be held in place by 2 screws.

I have removed both screws but the lamp will not budgeirked
As an admission of failure I looked in the owners manual and in the section headed Bulb Replacement it shows a picture of the car with all the lamps nicely labeledrolleyes
It then goes on to show you how to remove and change every bulb.

Apart from the rear Fog Lampfurious

So

Has anyone had a tow bar on their Mazda 5 and had this problem?
How the hell does the existing lamp come apart?

Any help appreciated.
