GTA: Episodes From Liberty City - Is it worth it?

First though, what is it? Is it the two new downloadable storymodes on a disc?

Same map, same cars. Apart from new characters and missions, you can play golf and can base-jump/parachute which is new. Is it worth it?

They're both new campaigns of about 10-12 hours each that cross the main storyline at various points. If you enjoyed GTA:IV then they're definitely worth it as there are quite a few new vehicles and the new weapons are great.

LatD is supposed to be "ok" but tBoGT is meant to be excellent, and almost as long as GTA4 itself.

I got it during the week, I was never really big into doing the missions in GTA. But from the few missions i've done, it seems to be like GTA:IV but with some good stuff they left out.. For example in GT, the first 2 missions I did involved, cage fighting, and hitting golf balls at someone.

The Lost And Damned is good, The Ballad Of Gay Tony is awesome. TBOGT is worth it for the multiplayer alone, cant beat parachuting from rooftop to rooftop sniping people .

I thought TBoGT was excellent. Bought it on saturday morning and completed it by tea time yesterday. I like the bassjumping but seeing how close to the ground I can get before opening my 'shute. I've gone splat a few times.

My only criticism so far is the lack of money. I've completed it, bought a full armoury from my mate and only got £30,000 left. mind you I haven't done all the Drug wars side missions yet.

I think the tbogt is really good, haven't got through much of it yet but think its funny as.

You start getting about £10k+ for the drug wars missions, and they go up to about level 50 if you're short on cash.

Anyone else figured out how to fly higher with the parachute yet?

TBoGT is great - but short. Felt alot shorter than LaTD.

Multiplayer is massively better on TBoGT though. Smaller maps, better weapons - a right fragfest

by fly higher to you mean gaining altitude with the 'chute open?

Pull back on the left stick, and tap the left and right trigger (in synch) quite fast, you'll gain altitude faster than a helicopter, although go too high too fast, and the ropes break. Faster alternative to walking if there's no cars about, and you're near something high.

Unless they've patched it since I posted, it works. There's a few guides on youtube i believe.
