A note on Diesel fuel filter replacement

There is a feature in Total BM mag november addition on replacing Derv fuel filters....

On page 69 pic number 10 it shows Forte Advanced formula diesel treatment being used to fill up the new fuel filter....Please dont do this!

This is meant to be used in the fuel tank to mix with fuel, using the treatment as neat may/will cause long term damage to any common rail system-this means the High pressure fuel pump and the injectors.

Keep it simple, replace fuel filter and then add treatment to the fuel tank.

Indeed; where you could get away with this kind of 'treatment' on older diesels, modern stuff will not tolerate this kind of practice.........

It used to be a bloody good way of cleaning up smokey diesels prior to MOT time.
