I like your sdvert.

There's plenty of detail regarding equipment, history, and the characteristics of the car.

My only slight concern would the price - there's a few similar aged/mileaged AUC cars on the BMW site for less money.

Good luck with the sale.

BTW I see that you are from the Leics area - may I ask whereabouts? I live and work in that neck of the woods.

The advert looks good and reads well , as for the price,it's not far away, let them haggle, If it was up for 12K some clown would be trying to offer 10k, In many cases a higher asking price puts off the wanna-be traders and dreamers, plus shows as a private seller, you are not that desperate to sell or passing on a lemon.

thumbup

What are you thinking of replacing your 'M' with, out of interest?

Seems to me that they are a difficult car to improve on without spending muchos £££.

my shortlist is:

996 C4S
996 Turbo
997 C2S
E90 M3 coupe
SLK 55 AMG

you right, whatever happens i've gotta find a load of wedge! basically i've got a massive 911 itch, i was looking at 996 c4s's when i bought the Z4M 18 months ago, i'm only really interested in the last 2 options if i can get a cracking deal wink

Good shortlist, the SLK stands out like a sore thumb but there is something likeable about them.

I reckon I'll be looking at the 997 or E90 myself in 12-18 months.

Don't buy a 996 c4s - you'll be very disappointed by how unexciting it is compared to the ZM. The turbo is much better, not much of an event once you're used to the acceleration but more special than a c4s.

athol speaks sense.

I was in the market for a 911 and I tried loads of 996s, including the C4S.I only tried the Z4M on a whim after getting fed up with looking at what I perceived to be tatty and overpriced 911s, and was sold on it straight away.

There's only one 996 I would change my Z4M for, funds permitting.

i understand what your saying, however its the cheapest way to scratch this 911 itch wink i'm abit concerned that once i'v got one i'll be thinking what was all the fuss about... at least if thats the case i won't have stretched myself to 40k!!!!!

whilist i'm sure its a fantastic car, i'm really not a fan of the narrow body 996's, especially the MK1... and they don't have heated seats LOL

Then do yourself a favour and find a nice 993 c4s or even c2s. Wide body, the prettiest of all the 911s, much better to drive and if your look after it, ZERO depreciation. It's a much much much much (in case you don't get it) better way of scratching a 911 itch.

Just to back this up i've gone like this...

964 carrera 4 - GP White
993 carrera 4 - Turkis metallic (turquoise)
993 turbo - arena red
996 turbo manual - seal greay
993 carrera 4 (the same car as before, loved it so bought it back)- as above!
996 turbo tips (rubbish gearbox)- arctic silver
993 turbo - midnight blue

Each to their own of course but i love 911s and i genuinely don't think you'd be happy in a 996 c4s.

Just sold my zmc last week and on the lookout for a Maserati Gransport. It's my itch that i must scratch! Wish i could afford a 997 gt3!

it'll depreciate when i put 20k a year on it wink tbh i like the old 911's even less, for my use i've got to have a modern car smile

i like those Maserati's myself, sound brilliant, i followed one this morning in fact.... i'd be concerned about it regularly leaving me stranded on the M1 though.. being Italian and all;)
