Has anyone had a winscreen replaced?

I've got a nasty crack in my windscreen and autoglass have not got in stock, they said it will have to be ordered. So my question is, has anyone had a windscreen ordered and how long did it take?

He said on the phone he will get back to me on Monday as to when they expect a windscreen in. The only plus side was that the bloke on the phone said "Monaro, that's one of those Australians ones", so hopefully nothing goes wrong

At least you'll get a Monaro screen and not one for a Vauxhall Movano!

I phone auto glass and they had a screen for ma car in 2 days but in the end it did not need it and i had a small crack. Worth getting them out they done a great job in fixing it. I was supprised how qwickly they could get the screen.

Still trying to get a screen. Im with bell insurance and i think i heard the windscreen company wrong, i don't think its autoglass, maybe national windscreens. I will ring them again tomorrow as they were still trying with suppliers yesterday.

Screens are available for this car - green tint with green top tint.

Talk to your insurer and see if they will allow you to go elsewhere and I'll point you in the right direction.

Which branch of National Windscreens are you dealing with please? There are Monaro windscreens readily available as Glassman says, so there shouldn't be an issue with getting hold of one.

Does anyone know if a windscreen for a monaro is ordered from Vauxhall using the latest part number, that it will be a green tint, with a dark blue sun strip?

If the screen is available from any of the four aftermarket glass suppliers in the UK, it will be ordered from them. From my own enquiry, I can see the screens available from on supplier are green with a green top tint.

FWIW, if the screen is sourced via one of the four dedicated suppliers, the chances are, the screen will be no different to one obtained via a dealer.

Is green tint with a light green sunstrip the only available screen? I was hoping to get one the same as the original with a dark bluey sunstrip.

Nope, Autoglass tried to fit the light green one on mine and I said I'm not having it. Eventually they sourced the correct one from VX with the correct dark blue/green sunstrip. The light green was ugly as hell.
