Well just got home after picking up new baby...... VXR8 LS3 auto in redhot, just driven from Canterbury to Southminster (Essex) to visit inlaws before a gentle bimple home (running in)to sunny Swindon!!!

Brill car fantastic to drive and soooooooo much better than the old GST-R I had a couple of years back. First thing I remembered on drive home was just how many looks you get like the good old days other thing was I still can't rid of the odd boyish blip!!! never too old.driving

To post couple of facts I'm 37 missus 29 if you see an red vxr8 in swindon area give me a toot or a wave and I'll wave back.
Great to be back in the fold see you soon...

No point doing the exhaust as stock is fine according to the Gurus on here. Unless of course you are requiring more noise. I bought a manual often wondered what an auto was like to drive. Enjoy.

not far from you, just off Northern road. Yes used to see the Yellow cv8 just off beechcroft road up near the moonies. Keeping my stock for the forseeable, car is fantastic as is but I would like the noise from the exhausts on the outside. Thing is, you then tend to lose the fantastic noise on the inside! Used to have a black cv8 until recently

Car too new for running on dyno, I'm only wanting a wee bit more noise when I choose to and intend keeping the car stock also this one is not going to the ring at all she has to last....angel

The CV8 you refer to was my mates, I did see a black early monaro other week when I was on way to Devises it was coming towards me then when I finshed Golf it was coming back the other way,

there was a GTS in Swindon until recently (moved away) and also a red VXR monaro I have seen kicking about west swindon

Same one then. Don't worry about running it in, I didn't when I drove it. hehe

Only joking, we didn't go far in it, and the roads around there aren't built for speed. IIRC, it had about 260 miles on it then.

I doubt it was the same one. I did get the "It's our last one sir," but they'd always say that to try and pressurise you into buying. If they said "we've got shed-loads of them, as Vauxhall can't sell them at RRP" then the boot would be quite firmly on the other foot. wink
