E60 M5 Orange Led Sidelights ..............

can I change the orange led style sidelights on the E60 M5 for white ones ??

is it just a bulb change or something more complicated ??

I believe it is a simple bulb change...but getting the right one's is not so simple.

Contact CA Automotive or speak to M Style in Romford Essex for a better idea.

I'd love to know your outcome on this, I think the M5 would look much better with "R8" style LED's instead of that boring orange!

had a look last night and you can switch off these hideous orange lights by unplugging the small connector located at the top of each headlight - but from what I've read elsewhere the actual orange leds are within the light unit and cannot be removed and changed for white ones without drastic surgery to the headlamp unit.

I've swithced mine off for the moment and it looks so much better and I will be visiting delear on friday, so will ask what can be done permanently.

the reason i asked intially was two fold, purely cosmetic as i thnik the orange lights are horrid and also for safety reasons as on two separate occasions other drivers have pulled out of side roads infront of me thinking I was turning - i assume that as well as being totally stupid, they may have thought at first glance that i had my indicators on.

anyway - goodbye orange eyebrow lights, I wont be connecting them up again.

yes

m technician at dealer tells me that they cannot be changed from orange to white, they can just be turned off.

i have just unpugged mine for the moment.
