Tuscan dash question
Discussion
Hello,
Does anyone know if it is possible (by a visit to my TVR dealer or TVR themselves in Blackpool) to have the digital rev display changed from engine RPM to the digital speed instead?
My analog speedo is *very* unreliable. It under reads, over reads and is currently displaying 10 MPH when I am stopped. I get the releavant error code on the display as well.
I've already had it fixed previously. I would like to have the RPM display (the 2 digits) display the speed instead. I don't need to know the engine revs, I can feel/hear these and the change up lights are programmed anyway.
Currently I'm using the digital speed (press the top right button 3 times when it's on the RPM display) to know my speed in town. Trouble is the text size is very small as you know.
So is this possible?

Hi Chiz
Not heard of anyone having this done, or even wanting it done! The speedao CAN be made to work properly, if it isnt then get the dealer on to it pronto - mine has had one problem which the dealer sorted, and since then (about 2.5 years ago) it has been fine.
As for changing the dash LCD layout, well all the info is there, and it is displayed in one form or another, so I guess it is just down to programming - now whether TVR would be interested in doing it, how much they would charge, or what help they would give for a.n.other to do it, or even if the dash is capable of being re-programmed (it may all be burnt in to a chip) - these are all questions for TVR themselves
I would be interested to know though, as if TVR will release the code or allow reprogramming then I am sure we could all have some fun with that!!
