Hi all, bbc Iplayer wont work whilst im in canada frown

I'm not much of a computer bod, never really been into downloading stuff, but i'd love to be able to watch the seasons of shooting stars, top gear and whatever james may is doing at the moment whilst im out of the country for a year or two.

Does anyone care to share the easiest way of watching these programmes whilst i'm out of the country, ideally in low quality because my laptop is crap and struggles to play HD stuff without skipping and jumping etc.

Thanks

Torrents are you friend... Unless you use a UK proxy to watch iPlayer, it really is your only hope, unless you find somewhere online that has it available.

Im also interested in this now i'm out of the UK. I remember discussion about a website called final gear, i've seen it has the latest series, are these updated quickly after the episode is first shown or is it several weeks/months?

Pretty quickly. Some are hours, but normally available by the next day.

install utorrent software

Go to mininova an hour or so after teh show finishes airing

download the torrent file for top gear (will be one of the most popular)

open and wait for 2 to 8 hours depending on your ISP

film on HDI

Live (1) UK TV, download only works on XP/Vista.
'Skip' the registration process to go to 'preview' mode, it stops roughly every half hour until you pay to subscribe. There's a 'slow connection' option for each channel.

(1) For certain values of 'live', roughly a lap behind on the Grand Prix for example.

Warez-bb.org

they provide links to direct downloads from rapidshare of .avi files in HDTV.

At 20Mbps you can downlaod an episode in 7 minutes. They are usually available about 20 minutes after airing.

Allegedly.

Doesn't work outside the UK, unless you use a proxy server.

Wondered about that. I quickly tried it through the company US proxy, but I couldn't tell whether it was denying access or just slow.

It has to be a UK proxy.
