Xbox Arcade to Elite

Right i've decided to crack on with getting an Elite. My big concern is - without a data migration cable, how easy is it to get the save files from Arcade to Elite and how to transfer my profile from the arcade to elite - is it possible to do so through Xbox Live...?

Looking at doing the same thing, and my understanding is that while profiles can be recovered via XBL, save games and media have to go via the transfer cable, and its a "move" and not a "copy". Your local gametypestore may have a kit you can borrow for a deposit.

Yes - copy the game save files to the memory stick. You will need to do a licence tranfer (wia the Xbokx Live website) on any downloaded content to the new console. Then copy the game saves and you 'should' be good to go.

Well, I hope so because I have to do just that tonight for my Super Elite

Hmmm, sounds good. Do you know how to do the profile transfer?

just copy the lot (profile/games) onto the card then stick in new machine.

If you have a live profile you can d/load it to the new system...but quicker to use a card.
