I bought an XBOX 360 w/ Forza 3 and Fifa 10 (It was a bundle). I didn't want Fifa as I had it for the PS3, so I asked the guy and he said he would return Fifa straight away and give me something else if I wanted. So he rang the bundle up, and straight away returned Fifa 10 and gave me NFS:Shift in it's place, it was an extra £5 so I paid up.

I didn't open NFS:Shift as I was too busy playing Forza 3, so I thought I might as well try and change it for something. When Fifa was left back, he had given me a reciept saying that I had left back Fifa 10 as unwanted, and taken NFS. There was no trace of me ever buying a bundle.

So I took NFS (Unopened) to a different HMV store, and asked could I change it for something else.. there wasn't anything in particular, so I asked if I could buy the new Call of Duty (which wouldn't be out for a few weeks), he took it back and used the £45 for the deposit on COD. So tomorrow when I go in, it'll already be paid for. I just have to pick it up.

Now, I just found out that theres a place selling the new COD for £20 (£25 less than what I paid in advance).. I'm not sure what reciept I currently have, it's one saying that i've paid £45 for COD already..

Do you think I could say to them that I no longer want it, and instead would like to buy something for the value of £45.. like a controller, and something else? Or would that be taking the piss.. I'm assuming they have none, or very little trace of the other transactions, as it was at another store/doesn't really matter?

Ow

Should be fine, it's not as if you've taken it back to somewhere else or tried getting cash back for it instead. If you explain you want to swap it for something else it should be fine. Just say someone has already bought you COD
Where is it for £20 by the way??
