What do you always take with you when you leave the house? Keys phone and credit card or 1/2 a spare bike?? smile

What do you consider to be an essential bit of kit that you dont like to leave behind?

Trying to list what I need to get, so I dont get stranded!

Why 2 inner tubes? Or are you just puncture prone? hehe

On the road bike, usually just stuffed in the bike top pockets or in the saddle bag, on the mtb, probably a mix of bike top pocket and camelback.

Not really puncture prone, but the other week I forgot to check for what had caused the flat and the 2nd one came in handy banghead

After 20+ years of riding you'd think I would have learned by now rolleyes

not a great deal i'd have said:
2 tubes
leaches
couple of spare chain links
pump
tyre levers
mulittool
spare pads
mech hanger
Goretex jacket (unless its certain to be a nice day in the summer)

But I do alway wear a camelbak

Earphones? What are they for ? Are these to blank out the noise of traffic around you so you can get run over in a suprised fashion?

Oh ok - I still wouldnt wear them, just seems like a safety risk. The number of times I have heard animals, horses etc before I came round a bend in a forest.....with headphones on I wouldnt have braked as early. Also wont hear off road bikes coming if headphones are worn, nor will I hear other riders.
