Recommend me a good garage for MOT & Service in York

After recently moving to York, and being fed up of being ripped off by a well-known main dealer in Bridlington that begins with 'V' and ends in 'auxhall', could anyone recommend me a good, honest garage in York for an MOT & service (it's only a Vauxhall Corsa)? (Preferably around the Heworth area).

I've seen a few on the 'Good Garage Scheme', but with a bit of investigation, I've noticed that it's actually a bit of a con used to sell a certain brand of oil

Greenway Garage. It is owned by a PHer, 01347 848 414 should be the office number, they have a service area and a mot bay. They may be able to help if your not too far away.

I have used the 'Carcare' place on James St on several occasions...including for the re-build of my TVR's rear brakes - an awkward job, belt change on my MG, plus MOT work on different vehicles

Excellent service and at the right price.

Thanks for the advice chaps, eventually went for Car Care on James St, mainly because it's only 2 minutes down the road.

Good service at a good price, highly recommended.

Like to think I'm pretty discerning as far as garages go, so good to hear you've had a positive experience too.
