I used have staff who worked there, had many a meeting in an old fashioned oak paneled meeting room on the site and once bought an industrial sized stainless steel microwave from the massive furniture 'recycling' store there, for £5! Certainly an amazing place with pipes everywhere you look, surrounded by a fence and trees and not the sort of place you'd stumble across as the access roads are a bit tucked away - it's surrounded by some great driving roads though, we did a little 'end of hoon' circuit around there on a recent run.

I walk the dog around there a bit and take the single speed over occasionally so know the area fairly well. I was just trying to ascertain how bad the proposed development will be.

I know plenty of people who still work on the main site, I'll ask around to see if anyone knows anything.

Well I live within listening distance. The local council rejected it, the goverment inquiry rejected it. Then some jumped up civil servent said it was ok to go ahead. so it is back to appeal right now. It will go ahead even though no one wants it. when it does the M3 will be at standstill all day as it will have capacity for 1 lorry every 15 minuets 24/7. they say there wont be that many lorries. if so why build it big enough to cope with that many. I could go on but I wont
