Hi guys and girls, I need some help with a recruitment project. I head up the international recruitment and manpower team for a company called Granite International. We are the technical services arm of General Electric Power, one of the largest players in the Power Generation and Oil and Gas field. Granite currently operates in over 100 countries and we have offices in over 50.

I have an urgent need to fill a number of positions internationally in the Sub Sea drilling arena. I have attached the job descriptions below. If your are interested of know someone who is then please send me a PM with your contact info and I will get back to you by return.

Field Engineer Subsea Drilling Equipment Install Op. and Maint.

The Field Service Engineer / Technician must have experience with Subsea Drilling installations and they should have experience with "spud" wells, running casing hangers, working with Subsea Equipment (Wellheads, Valves, Specialty Connections & Piping, Production trees, Chokes, etc.) in an offshore and deep sea environment.

They will be involved with pre-defined operation, installation, maintenance, testing, adjustment, troubleshooting and technical assistance based on good engineering, manufacturing, installation and operation practices as applicable to upstream oil exploration/production equipment and in accordance with contractual workscope requirements.”

Other Areas of Experience / Responsibility:

• Experience with the processes for "spud" wells and running casing hangers
• Experience with operation, installation, and / or maintenance of company equipment (Wellheads, Valves, Specialty Connections & Piping, Production trees, Chokes, etc.) in accordance with the company recommended procedures, methods & guides
• Experience performing these tasks with companies like Vetco Gray, Drillquip, FMC, and / or Cameron a big plus.
• Experience working with Comprehensive job preplanning including all logistics, tooling, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), & technical workscopes applicable to assignments
• Use of company e-tools to retrieve technical documents and management of packing list, bill of materials, drawings, prior job reports etc.
• The proactive interface between all functions of the company and our customers concerning technical, operational & EHS challenges as applicable to any assignment
• Mentorship, development & guidance of less experienced peers
• Timely completion of all post job and administrative duties including but not limited to customer and service reports, timesheets, job debriefs and tooling tracking.
• Safe & compliant performance of all activities inline with the company and our customer environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures
• Uncompromising integrity to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and company rules and requirements
• Maintaining a strong customer relationship through a positive, proactive & professional approach
• Perform other related duties as assigned by manager

Qualification:

• Mechanical Engineer Degree or Technical High School
• 3 - 5+ years related work experience either in engineering or field service
• Previous experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry,
• Experience working w/ Subsea Drilling installations
• Ability to understand and implement mechanical drawings,
• Familiarity with upstream oil equipment specifications and procedures
• Good knowledge of English language
• Ability to accommodate frequent worldwide travel
• Strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Willing to develop technical knowledge in self and others
• Good interpersonal & organizational skills
• Computer skills

The roles will be based world wide but you will be on rotation. You will be a retained employee on long term renewable contracts.
All new joiners will be sent on a six week course in Houston to learn the the ins and outs of Vetco Gray equipment. You will be employed by Granite Services but sub contracted to Vetco Gray. Vetco and Granite are both owned by General Electric and this is a joint venture.

Thanks but no thanks at the moment Escargot, I am that good that I have not used an outside agency in over 5 years winkbiggrin But I have had a look at your site and have bookmarked it for our potential wind farm and wave energy work that is coming up in the new year

If any of these upcoming projects need rotational IT support then please get in touch, my existing contract seems likely to be finished in the new year.

im a mechanic at the moment and looking for a new carreer... dont care if its abroad as im single anyway...
