It seems everyone is buying new watches at the moment, so I figured it was about time to join the crowd!
When I was looking at buying my Omega Seamaster 300M Chrono last year, I was sorely tempted by the Speedmaster Pro, but decided I could always come back for it another time.
A year later, and I could resist no longer, however having spent some time in this forum my horizons had been expanded, and so last weekend I headed off to a couple of watch stores to try some on.
I had narrowed it down to a couple of Omegas, and also the IWC Pilot Chronograph, but was undecided whether I wanted a leather strap or bracelet. I tried on the IWC with bracelet, and it was nice but just didn't wow me, and the leather strap version would take 6 weeks to order in, so I headed on to Goldsmiths to check out their Omega selection. At the top of my list was the Broad Arrow with the white face, however the only one they had in stock was the bracelet version, but they did also have the black face with brown leather strap. In the flesh, I actually thought the black face looked nicer, and it worked really well with the brown leather strap. So... after trying them both on, and a few moments of umming and ahhing, I went for...

I'm very happy with it, and having lent it to Tony H at BTaP last weeekend to try for size, I gather he is quite keen on it too!
