2nd hand Seamaster - how to tell if real?
Discussion
From what I understand the following are pointers:
- Omega symbol on the end of the crown, commonly missing on replicas
- detail of Seamaster design in the centre of the back
- small Omega symbol missing below Seamaster design in the centre of the back
- jerky second-hand movement
Just my 2p worth.

On "newer" (no idea how long they've been doing this) there's a laser (IIRC) etched globe symbol with Omega symbols within the globe. This is on the back too and can look like a circular sqiggle but look carefully (or use magnifying glass) and you can kinda see what it is.
As with cars though, if there's no supporting documentation, warranty card, box etc. then find another.... If it's cheaper than one without these then I'd suggest checking at a jewellers etc. Certainly don't buy blind off eBay that's for sure!!!

Is it obviously cheap ? Sub £600 odd ? If so its most likely hooky.
If they have no paperwork, how do they imply they can prove it is good ? Is the seller in the UK ?
A OD should be able to verify the case serial number as being at least the right series for the watches year etc.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Caveat emptor
