Cardiff questions
Discussion
Hope someone can help, I'm coming down to Cardiff for the rugby in a couple of weeks and staying at the Novotel on Tyndall St . It has a car park but it's not secure , does anyone know what this area is like ,or would I be better finding a secure overnight car park somewhere else in the city ? Any thoughts ? Also could do with a few pointers for pre/post match watering holes , any recommendations ?
Thanks

I actually use the gym in this hotel in my lunchtimes and would suggest trying to park near the main entrance which is in full view of the reception area etc.
It's surrounded by another hotel (cheap one!), offices and housing etc. It has fencing around it and a ticket only barrier (which you have to get punched in reception before you leave etc) and CCTV I think but yes anyone can walk in to the car park etc. I'll ask if they have CCTV tomorrow for you.
There was loads of support cars using the hotel for the recent WRC Rally and there was some nice stuff there so I'm sure you will be okay, unless of course you fall into it after sampling too many watering holes in Cardiff!!!!!

If you head towards St Mary's street, you'll find an abundance of bars/clubs etc. When i've previously been out before a game, the Weatherspoons - Prince of Wales pub is pretty good. Good atmosphere and well located before going to the stadium. But you've also got The Yard and quite a few other places round there.
I'm sure there are lots of places that you'll find pretty good, but anywhere round the brewery quater or that area you'll find a decent pub, places to eat and only a short walk to the stadium.
