I like the look of that, I know most of you prefer a drop top but how cheap is that at the moment?

Missing rear bumper and valance. Odd knob on glovebox lid.

" Te car has been stored in an insulated garage and has been run regularly to keep all the parts functional.

Some minor faults that need rectifying, speedo not working, due to prolonged storage starter motor does not always engage first time"

Can't have been run THAT regularly then...

But does look tidy thumbup

You cannot see the chassis on these photos, we must assume that therefore it has none, BEWARE. I cleverly rotated the first photo round 180 degrees to enable my trained eyes to examine the underside of it more closely, be sure to do the same...........

I cant imagine practical classics would feature a car with a chassis so badly restored it would fade to nothing in 8 years lol, and those early wedge chassis are pretty hardy things anyway.

Series 1 FHC : by far the prettiest of the wedges before big wings and arch extensions took over. Truly a lovely looking car in a gorgeous colour (is the colour original? who cares anyway, looks fab!) .. well worth a look smile

Agree on the Series 1 looks. That interior is gorgeous. cloud9

Always tickled me being able to do 70 in 2nd on the 4-speeder. biggrin

Original rear end would look like this...possibly bumper wrapped around on '81 model though ? (car pictured is early S1, despite the reg)

So are you buying it then Graham? You need a Wedge and that one looks rather nice.............

The Ebay car is a S1 shell too... scratchchin X reg would be Aug '82-on, thought the sloped rear was well into production by then.

We've got chassis no 13 which is an early S1 but an X reg (1982). Why would it be rear bumperless after an extensive restoration 8 years ago?
Something not right.

Graham's was chassis 10 (the factory demonstrator, or one of them). I had chassis 36 which was registered in May '80 on a V plate. So 13 may well have been another development car? I think PW himself drove 14.

what a great car! I cant believe the relays and electrics were strapped on the inner wing like that!

They were. hehe

I'll bet there's a high reserve on it...even higher if he's been reading this.frown

Got the cash, just need to see how things develop.
I couldn't leave it with an asthmatic 2.8 though. biggrin

Graham

There seems to be no reserve on it! The guy has no selling history which might explain why.....

Hi
I have had a chat with the man and he doest know that it should have a rear bumper etc, he really doest know what he has! May be the reason for no rear bumper and valance is the non standard exhust etc!

Who going to bid then!

Anyone have any idea what this car is worth? Best case scenario if chassis and everything else is ok with just a few jobs for the MOT?

Hi

Its hard to say what its worth,it has some things which are not correct with it! Not certain what the colour is, the rear bumper and valance missing, exhaust is also incorrect!
Its what you think you want to pay as every one idea's are differant!

Andy
