Headlamp Motor

The drive shaft within the headlamp motor has broken is this a common fault. Are the motors compatable with any other make of vehicle.

Yep, TR7; Lotus Esprit. But you're as likely to find one of those in a scrapyard as a TVR!

I have a couple of spares if you get really stuck...

Would it be possible to have a machine shop spin some metal on a lathe and make you a new one using the good side's shaft for comparison? I'm guessing it's part of the armature and can't be?

If all else fails Rimmer Bros stock them as TR7 motors (exchange)
