Breitling Colt
Discussion
Morning. One of my pieces, a Breitling Colt, died the other day. Battery dead. Took it to 3 major high street shops and they all said it needs to go off as a special back plate tool is required and then sealed etc. So I picked one of the shops to do so said work, 3-4 weeks wait and £70.00. Is that about right?
Bags.
Bags.
Are you aware of Philip Zetler at all?

Because of the shape of the back, it DOES need a special tool to change the battery.
But, FWIW, here on the pointy end of Brightest Africa, an acquaintance who has a watch shop was able to procure the correct tool and replace the battery on mine within two days.

Aah. Bought two watches off him on two of my Cape Town business trips.
A round Cartier Santos and an Omega Constellation piepan. Both seem nice enough watches and interesting man to chat to but I always wondered whether I got screwed a bit as I think I paid far too much for 'em having learned a bit more since then

Zetler is a little pricey, but if you like the watches, and the service was good, then paying a bit over the odds is a small concern really.A round Cartier Santos and an Omega Constellation piepan.
