While you guys are clearing up the mess from your shootings and stovings the guys with the injections are knocking out a few more executions. You have to think these issues through!

Why clear up?

Would be a scary looking mess for the next person.

I think if that's the sight of a gory mess was the worst thing that happened to the next person that day they would still count themselves lucky.

I don't get the death sentence. He is at peace while the families of those who lost loved ones continue to grieve... Military-style workhouses is my solution. They can work to earn the bread, water and roof over their head until the day they die. Any extra they earn goes towards a generic victim fund or the victim's families (dunno how this would affect them? would they want the money?). The workhouse would bid for work such as basic manufacturing of products or other semi-skilled labour. Refuse to work? Don't get food.

Apparently he went on the killing spree so that he could shoot his wife as part of the spree and no one would consider him a suspect.

I've always thought one of the reasons that prisons don't do unskilled labour is because they would be able to underbid just about any other contract?

According to the Green Mile anyway.

I'd just send them all off to an Island somewhere in the South-East if it was my choice. Somewhere infested with spiders and small bears that look cute but carry clamydia.

Plus injections might be cheaper than a bullet? certainly would be if they used the right 'stuff'...

But a plastic bag over his head, duct taped round his neck might be more efficient. scratchchin

That was my first thought. But then I remembered that there's nothing 'cute' on Canvey.

Do what the US does, get them to make reg plates with a built in tax disc / insurance / MOT cert, every 12 months requested from the DVLA ala normal tax discs, shipped out within 7 days from prison.
They could also be responsible for dozens of similar goverment contracts (you could even have them sorting the post smile ) making savings for us, not only on prison costs but also by reducing the number of civil servants

You don't need drugs though do you? Just inject the air in the syringe.

Evil or mentally ill?

Muhammad's legal team says the ex-soldier suffered from Gulf War Syndrome.

Sniper motive remains a mystery

Lawyer Jonathan Sheldon told the BBC's World Today: "A psychiatrist examined him and said he's paranoid and psychotic and delusional and gave many examples."

Mr Sheldon also said brain scans of Muhammad had revealed malformations linked to schizophrenia.
