May go and have a look at a couple of 2.0 TDCi Focus's over the next few days. It seems some have Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF's) and some not. How can I/will I be able to tell if it does or not?

Sounds like these devices have caused a few problems, especially for those doing a lot of town driving.

There are a couple of extra pipe's going to the DPF which go to a small valve near the battery.
Also a small container above rear subframe for the fluid.
If in doubt PM me the reg and I'll send you back the Build Date from when it was built.

Cheers for the info.

Strange. Defo Sept 2006 registration - on a 56 plate.
Are demo cars sometimes 'unregistered' then?

Car HPI's all ok.

It did leave the factory with a DPF.

Yes demo are not allways registered they can run them on trade plates.

Or it's just been sitting in a showroom for ages.

That's a pain. I was informed it didn't have one and having read a bit about them I was pleased that it didn't. Oh well, as it's mostly town driving that tends to cause the problems I should be ok, as perhaps only 20% is urban driving it should be ok, but I would have preferred not to have one.
