The front wheels on my B6 S4 (Avant, Manual, '03 plate) are tramping like mothrefkers. It's usually on the inside wheel when you run over a bump in a corner, you can feel the shake/tramping through the steering wheel.

I'm pretty sure its the shocks it's done 90k and the rear were changed at 70k.

Firstly: could it be anything else that I have missed? I have recently tracked and checked it over and there is nothing loose (bearings, rod ends etc etc).

Secondly: Were is the best place to get front shocks from and what shocks do I need? GSF (my usual go-to) aren't showing anything specific for the S4? Are the front shocks the same accross the A4/S4 range?

Cheers.

PS: A quickie, I have heard people talking about improving the handling by fitting RS4 ARB's, anyone got the info on what needed and what should be converted? Might as well do both jobs at once.

Dampers I would go for Genuineif you're replacing the front pair or maybe Bilstein/Eibach if you're doing the set smile

Probably not a good idea to have different brands/specs front and rear. The GSF stuff might be the same as OE but equally it might not :/
