Confirm acouple of models please?

High guys,did the 242bhp 3ltr diesel come out in sep 2008 58 plate .Also do you think if that is correct would there be any older engine creep in on the said plate?Shame bmw auc does not tell you in their adverts.

Does a new 335d have or will have the 300bhp version.

There will be some 2008 "58" plate 330d's with the older 231bhp engine. I believe that in saloon and touring guise these will be non-facelift cars. They will not have the additional bonnet creases or revised lights front and rear. Not sure about the coupe, but suspect that some will invariably slip through.

I've been looking at E90 M3's and there were some facelift cars on 58 plates and a non-facelift on both 58 and 09.

The 335d will, at some point, receive the new diesel motor. At that time, it will be badged a 340d, despite being a 3 litre. The current 330d has 286bhp IIRC, as the earlier cars had 272.
