Bought a Dremel kit and found it very useful. Cut corroded nuts and other light DIYer stuff a treat. Then after about ten months, it started to play up, became unreliable and the multi speeds were not available then started to buzz, smell and eventually it stopped completely.

Have I just been unlucky, or, is what happened to me a frequent experience ~ would appear so as a quick search on web showed I am not the only one to have these terminal problems with a Dremel so soon.

There are other tools available which do a similar range of things to the Dremel. I need something like this but, if my experience is not an isolated bit of bad luck, then I will not replace it with another Dremel.

Sounds like a job for.....

Warranty and his side kick the sales of goods act!!

Seriously 10 months is pathetic. Don't just buy another one, take it back and get them to honour the warranty. Otherwise there will be no way to let them know improvements are necessary!
