56 Focus ST-2, worth buying extended warranty?
Discussion
Just bought a 56 Focus ST-2 (11k miles), picking it up on the weekend ... the ford dealer is trying to sell me the extended 3 yr warranty for £799, but I'm not too sure?
It looks like a good warranty, full parts and labour & VAT ... But Focus' are pretty bullet proof and so is the Volvo engine, aren't they?
I had a warranty on my Alfa GTV, but that was expensive to repair .. not sure about the ST.

A bit later still & just as useless (
), the only problem I've had with mine in 57k is a sqeaky, creaky drivers seat, fixed under warranty in the first 12 months (I don't think it is covered after that).
Otherwise, rock solid! Although that's most likely tempting fate
However, by the time you've taken off the 3 years breakdown & the value of the service price cut, I guess that it is probably reasonable value, just a decent up front wedge to find.
