"only covers words or behaviour that are threatening and intended to stir up hatred"

Hardly sounds like they'd have been coming after Jimmy Carr or something.

What odds somebody said 'there is no intention to go after pensioners attending political conferences' when the Terrorism Act was in transit. Or police colleagues looking after each others' kids when safeguarding children was debated.

In this case it looks like we've been saved from another visit by the law of unintended consequences.

How long is it before these muppets are thrown out?

How about they concentrate on introducing a law that allows us to prosecute them for appalling mis-governance of the country and worry less about who gets called a puff?

You must be a northerner. A poof here is an upholstered stool that matches the 3 piece suite. . . . . . wink

Except if you can spell, when that item is, in fact, a pouffe.
