Predicament with Credit card tranaction!!

OK folks...2 weeks ago I purchased breakdown cover online,using my credit card.
Just as the transaction was authorising the payment,the web site crashed on the final card verification password screen with Visa.

A few days later the breakdown cover arrived through the post thanking me for the payment with my annual schedule.

Now i'v been checking on line with my card company and called them last night and was advised there are no pending transactions..and it would appear the payment has vanished.

Obviously the missus is panicking,saying what if she has to use the breakdown cover and when she calls is told she has no cover etc.whereas im willing to accept this freebie as a stroke of luck as the cover letter has arrived.

Do you think i have got away with this..or will it appear down the line when they cant balance the books etc.

Have any of you ever got away with a CC tranaction going pear shaped/missing in the past.

You would be surprised at how poor these systems are.

Test them, loosen a plug lead, or battery connection and give them a call.

Simples....

Just phone them to double check what you're covered for.

I hate that bloody 'verified by Visa' crap and the mastercard one.

Everytime I buy something online and that bloody screen appears, powered by what appears to be a 386SX with 640k on a 56k line, I just know it's going to die before I know if it's worked or not.
