Decent hotel in central Amsterdam?

Looking for somewhere basic, decent, but not too expensive in central Amsterdam. Any suggestions? I guess we're after the Dutch equivalent of a travel lodge!

I stayed at SAVOY HOTEL AMSTERDAM on Ferdinand Bolstraat in August. An awesome little hotel, with very clean, very new rooms for not a lot. It was about a 5 minute cab ride to the Centraal Station

Search for Ibis. There's a few of them and they're soul-less but pretty clean and safe, relatively speaking.
