This afternoon the RCD tripped taking out all the sockets on 2 circuits. We've unplugged everything and traced it back to the Gledhill Boilermate 2000 upstairs. This makes sense as it was the central heating timer that tripped the RCD.

The downstairs boiler (Glow worm Micron) seems to be connected to the thermal store upstairs as we cannot fire the boiler up (no power supply). We've tried turning the central heating off to see if we can at least get hot water for the weekend, but it trips the RCD each time. We've put in new fuses each time we've tried something new, but to no avail.

Someone we rang suggested that the extractor fan on the boiler may have shorted out due to the amount of rain that we had today.

So...anyone with any experience of these bl**dy awful Boilermate things in the Littlehampton area? We'd rather go with a recommended plumber and ours has emigrated to Spain!

Thanks in advance.

I would put money on the pump being the culprit.
