Just got the gratin dauphinois in the oven, to go with duck breasts

I have the shepherd's pie in the oven (it's second outing - which I always like better as re-heated cottage pie is soooo much better than fresh for some weird reason). The Swede is being steamed and in a few minutes I'll put the carrot on.

Easy peasy for a Friday night.

Tomorrow I will do chicken breasts, topped with tarragon and grated cheese all wrapped in Black Forest ham before roasting briefly. Not sure what to put with that yet. Possibly asparagus and some posh potato: maybe that dauphinoise gratin from the post above?
